As a dietitian and nutritionist this is what I’m doing to enhance my immune system?


1. Absorption

Focus on absorption…what do I mean well ?? if you have signs of malabsorption or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or  low iron or other nutritional markers are low you may be missing something…. but  it’s not about popping more pills or drinking more juices, it is more about focussing on the why?….it may very well have to do with your gut health and absorption that may need attention ?  What is going on in your intestines or gut is an essential part of your health. In fact, your gut and your immune system are very closely linked, and 70 to 80 percent of your immune tissue is situated in your digestive tract. So I focus on this? The right probiotic the right diet plan may be just what you need…. I def have my pro biotic and kefir daily… well most days 🤭🤗


2. My own smoothies 🥤

Well, apart from my normal morning smoothie that highlights some definite consistent nutrition, the Heg range, I do have another very immune enhancing drink that i and the family are taking at this time… a concoction of very absorbable vital greens,maca, ginger, apple and mushroom powders plus more that make it super easy to consistently be in top of it daily….  particularly now!!!


3. A Plethora of Greens

Veggies and salad…. most people will base there meals on a plate of something white or brown like a pasta or rice, I base it on a bed of colour.. every meal will be 90% veggie and salad dominated… I see it as a pure Nutrition investment…. a flood of vitamins and minerals rushing through  every vein in my body from top to toe…


4. Exercise

Time to lift the nutritional fitness and the exercise fitness. If you know me well you know my take on exercise… food gets u to the gym but the gym keeps you applying your food plan …. Physical activity may help flush bacteria out of the lungs and airways. This may reduce your chance of getting a cold, flu, or other illness. Exercise causes change in antibodies and white blood cells (WBC) which are the body’s immune system cells that fight disease.


Focus on the process and your immune system will follow.
