What is After burn? And why do we choose the Glutes to gain more

After the glute session and workout you feel great your heart rate has increased your muscles are burning and it doesn’t stop there.

After burn is a little like a secret weapon to supercharging those gains!  This muscle group does more than just perk up and look good. It burns calories at the time, after the workout and builds your metabolism.

When you hit the gym hard and push your limits, you’re not just burning calories during your workout. Nope, you’re setting off a chain reaction that keeps your metabolism revving long after you’ve left the gym. This phenomenon is called the afterburner effect, or more scientifically, Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption.

How to Activate Your Afterburner

Go Hard or Go Home: High-intensity workouts, heavy lifting, and interval training are your best bets. Push yourself to the limit and watch that afterburner kick in.

Mix It Up:  Keep your body guessing with a variety of exercises. This prevents plateaus and ensures your afterburner is always firing on all cylinders.

Fuel Right: Feed the fire with proper nutrition. Get those carbs and protein in to repair and rebuild muscle, ensuring you’re ready to crush your next workout.

This is an understatement… you cannot achieve any of this without nutrition and sleep.  I choose the healthy empire smoothies every breakfast, a very high protein and volume eating lunch, and not forgetting how much I luv my healthy empire snacks (the bars, the balls, the loaf and the cookies).  If I’m feeling hungry I’ll top my protein up with my delish style protein coffee lover smoothie or egg white protein muffins. Dinner is  another volume protein dinner with intention every night if the week!
